Hello again, VGtarians! Our fresh pork sausage is on special in store this week and all we can say is WOO HOO - it’s time to get cooking! Sausage is a delicious and incredibly versatile protein with endless meal time possibilities. Here are a few ideas to inspire - now, go fill up that freezer with that pork sausage while it’s just $3.95/lb!

Casseroles

Sausage is perfect in a casserole because it pairs so nicely with pasta or rice. Try it in a tomato sauce based pasta dish, with rice and peppers, or with cauliflower, mushroom soup and parmesan cheese. Hungry? Here’s a great casserole your whole family will love!

Soup

Soup is one of those classic dishes that can be made into anything, from a simple broth to a hearty, homestyle meal. We love a big bowl of soup that includes the rich, salty goodness of sausage. Here’s a great recipe that includes hearty potatoes and traditional Italian flavours. Bon appetit!

Risotto

Sausage builds a ton of flavour in risotto. Try using chicken stock or vegetable broth as well as pork sausage and your favourite complementary vegetables.
