Delivery and Pick Up

For your safety and convenience, VG Meats offers both in-store pick-up and next day delivery options. Our retail stores are located in Simcoe and Stoney Creek. Please read the following information carefully and let us know if you have any questions.

Pick Up

If you’ve chosen to pick up your order, we want to make it as easy for you as possible. Here are a few pointers to ensure you can pick your order up with no delays.

  1. Your order will be ready to pick up by 12pm either the day after or day of placing your order, depending on when the order was made. For example, if you place an order at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, your order will be ready by noon the next day (Wednesday). If you place an order before 10:00 am on Wednesday, your order will be ready at noon on the same day.
  2. You can pick your order up any time during posted store hours once you have received an email notification that your order is ready.
  3. All products will be frozen unless you have specifically requested fresh items. Some exceptions include Little VGs, which are not frozen or refrigerated.
  4. When picking up your order, please have both the name of the person who made the order and the order number handy.

If you’ve chosen to have your order delivered to your door, we want to get your order to you as fast as we can. Here are a few pointers that will ensure an accurate and speedy delivery.

  1. We do everything we can to make sure you receive your order the next business day. However, due to increased demand and delivery limits, some deliveries will have a two day wait time. We will notify you by email or phone call if your delivery is delayed.
  2. Orders are picked up from our store each day around 2:00 pm, and that’s when delivery starts. The closest deliveries are completed first, so your exact delivery time depends on how close you are to the store and the number of deliveries before yours.
  3. When order numbers are unusually high, we complete additional deliveries on Saturdays. We will notify you if we are delivering your order on a Saturday.
  4. To prevent theft or other issues with your Farm to City delivery, our drivers make every attempt to deliver orders directly to each customer. We also strive to call ahead as a courtesy to our customers, though this isn't always possible. VG Meats cannot be held responsible for any theft or damage that occurs after the package is left on your doorstep. Because you chose your delivery date, you are responsible for being home when your package is delivered OR assume responsibility for any stolen items.
  5. If you live in a condo or apartment building, we cannot leave your package at your door. If you are not home to receive your order, our driver will make additional attempts to reach you by phone. If they are unsuccessful, your order will be returned to the store and a $20 fee will be applied to your next delivery or pick up. Thank you.
  6. If your order is being delivered to an apartment building, please be sure to give the primary phone number of the person accepting the delivery. Once the driver calls you, please arrange to pick the package up in the lobby of your building.
  7. Order add-ons: If you call in and add products onto your online order that brings it over the minimum order amount we will credit back the shipping fee.
