Merry Christmas and happy holidays from VG Meats!

Merry Christmas and happy holidays from VG Meats!

The lead up to Christmas is a busy but exciting time, and now we’re in the final stretch. In just a couple of days, you’ll be gathering with family, giving (and opening!) plenty of great presents, turning up your favourite holiday playlist and roasting those delicious local turkeys! From everyone at VG Meats, we wish you a joyful, healthy and peaceful holiday with the people you love. While this time of year can be a bit chaotic for families, it can also be really magical. This Christmas and always, we hope it’s more of the latter!

First, some housekeeping…

Before we get too sentimental on you, here are some quick holiday reminders. Most importantly: if you haven’t ordered your holiday turkey, ham or roast, please call your local VG Meats retail location or stop by in person. We’ll be open with regular store hours in Simcoe and Stoney Creek tomorrow (Friday, December 23rd) but closing early at both locations on Saturday, December 24th. Come see us as soon as you can—we’ve still got ham, beef and pork roasts, and a limited supply of fresh local turkeys. Our team would be happy to show you what’s available and ensure that you have everything you need for Christmas dinner. That’s what we’re here for!

A few more things:

  • If you ordered a turkey for home delivery, please ensure that you’ve paid the invoice with your balance owing (this was emailed to you!) and please be home when your driver arrives.
  • If you would like to purchase a gift basket as a Christmas present or hostess gift, please visit our website to view a selection of products and contact your local VG Meats store to see what’s currently available. If you’d like to purchase a gift basket for the New Year, you can place an order online.
  • If you need assistance, please call your local store rather than messaging us on social media. Our Facebook and Instagram pages won’t be closely monitored over the holidays, but we’re available in person and by phone!
  • Not sure what to cook for Christmas dinner? Remember, we shared some great ideas in a recent blog post.
  • Don’t forget to leave cookies out for Santa. Regardless of your age, this is critical!

Our heartfelt thanks

The Van Groningen family and the entire VG Meats team would like to thank you for shopping local this holiday season. It means a lot to us and our staff. When you buy your holiday turkey from VG Meats, you’re not just supporting our fourth generation family business—you’re supporting regenerative food, contributing to a healthier environment and keeping the economic cycle turning in your community. These purchasing decisions truly make a difference, and we appreciate your business more than you’ll ever know! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

Merry Christmas

Now, it’s time to enjoy some of that winter magic. No matter how or what you celebrate, we wish you a wonderful holiday season that’s filled with laughter, big hugs, happy children and lots of delicious food. And if you’re a parent, we hope you get a nap when it’s all over. We know you’ve earned it. Thank you again for shopping local, merry Christmas and cheers to a magical holiday season!
