When you buy a fresh, local turkey from our family-owned business, you know you’re getting a high quality product that was raised here in Ontario. It’s going to taste amazing, roast to tender perfection and leave you with some incredible leftovers. We take a holistic approach that leads to regenerative outcomes, so you can feel good about what you’re eating. This isn’t the easiest or cheapest way to produce food, but it’s certainly the best way to do it. You’ll get what you need—not what’s left on shelves
When you walk into a grocery store, you don’t know what you’re going to get. A local bird, something that was raised far from Ontario, or in many cases, something that isn’t traceable at all. Or, maybe you’ll be able to find frozen turkeys but no fresh options. There may be a lot of turkeys in the grocery store when you drop in or only a handful of really small or large ones left—it’s never guaranteed that you’ll find the size you want. VG Meats can’t promise the exact weight of your turkey (that comes down to how much they plump up at the end of the season) but we make every effort to get as close as possible to the size you’ve reserved. And, if you need a little more to work with, we also offer turkey breasts, drumsticks and more to help you get just the right amount. Our team is available to answer questions, make recommendations and offer cooking tips upon request. We’re dedicated to customer service, so you’ll never walk out disappointed or unsure about your purchase.
