There’s nothing like a community BBQ on a hot July day—and we’ve got a great reason to celebrate, so we’re hosting one at VG Meats in Stoney Creek on Saturday, July 13th!

Why we’re hosting this BBQ
One of our longtime butchers, Dave Vander Velde, is going to Paris, France next spring to compete in the World Butchers Challenge as part of Team Canada. We’re incredibly proud of Dave and will be supporting his trip in a variety of ways, but there are a lot of costs associated with traveling to France for the competition. In order to further support Dave and get the entire VG Meats community involved, we’re hosting this BBQ Fundraiser. By attending, you’re not only going to have a good time—you’ll be supporting your favourite local butcher on the world stage!
When and where
This event is taking place at VG Meats in Stoney Creek on Saturday, July 13th. It will be running from 9am to 4pm.
What’s happening
In short: a lot! Here are some of the things you can look forward to at our BBQ Fundraiser:
- A BBQ with delicious burgers, drinks and snacks
- Free product samples
- Special product offers and flash sales in store
- A car show in the parking lot
- Face-painting, temporary tattoos and other fun treats for children
- Music and good vibes
- A raffle with INCREDIBLE prizes worth over $1500 in total—details TBA, so keep an eye on our social channels! (Hint: we’re a butcher shop, so if you love Ontario beef, you’re going to be pretty psyched about our grand prize.)
The fun starts at 9:00am and will continue until 4:00pm. Come hungry and ready to have a good time!
