Happy Thanksgiving from the VG brothers
Thanksgiving is almost here and the VG team is busier than ever — but no matter how busy life gets, we always make an effort to slow down and focus on gratitude over the holiday weekend.
Collectively, the VG family is thankful for our incredible staff and customers, and for the wonderful communities we live and work in. We’re grateful for the like-minded farmers and food producers here in the region, and for the opportunity to share our knowledge about regenerative agriculture. Working as a family is something truly special, and we love what we do.
In honour of Thanksgiving, we’d like to take a moment and share some personal messages of gratitude from each VG brother. Please feel free to share your own thoughts on gratitude in the comments on Facebook! We’d love to know what you’re thankful for this year and always.
What we’re thankful for in 2021
Eldest brother Cory Van Groningen is grateful for his wonderful family and friends, the strong sense of community here in Norfolk County and the surrounding areas, the healthy soil on the land, and everyone he has the privilege of working with at VG Meats.
Chad is thankful for all of the frontline and essential workers who have worked so hard during the pandemic, because they’ve made Thanksgiving dinner possible. This includes our own VG Meats team as well as everyone working in healthcare who has dealt with COVID-19 from the very beginning. Thank you!
Kyle is thankful for his wife and boys. He’s grateful for his family’s good health and that his friends and their families remain healthy as well. Kyle is also thankful that he’s able to take his oldest son to hockey practices, and for all of the amazing staff at VG Meats, including those he doesn’t get to work with on a daily basis.
Youngest brother Kevin is thankful for the opportunity to raise his beautiful family and contribute to the food industry for a living. He’s also thankful for the wonderful VG Meats team who help make that possible every day. There are many reasons Kevin feels fortunate, but these are right at the top of the list!
Happy Thanksgiving
This weekend and always, we appreciate all that we have and everyone who helped make it possible. Thank you for shopping local and supporting our fourth generation family business. Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!
