3 ways to use our BBQ pulled chicken
Fortunately, VG Meats has high quality, house-made prepared foods designed to make your life easier (and more delicious). Ready to get inspired? Here are three quick and easy ways to use our tender BBQ pulled chicken to make a meal your family will love.
On a bun
Just like our popular pulled pork and slow-roasted beef in country gravy, our BBQ pulled chicken is delicious on a fresh bun. We often have locally-made buns in our Stoney Creek store, so be sure to grab some if you’re in the area. In a pinch? Any sort of nice bread will do. Enjoy your pulled chicken sandwich on its own or serve it with veggies and dip, french fries or coleslaw. It’s like bringing the pub home!
This is a delicious meal you can make in under 20 minutes. Grab some flour tortillas, your favourite cheese or shredded cheese blend and our BBQ pulled chicken (heat it up as directed). All you have to do is place a tortilla in a nonstick or lightly oiled frying pan at medium-high heat, add as much chicken and cheese as you want, top it with another tortilla and crisp it up in the pan. This won’t take more than a couple of minutes on each side. Then, cut it into slices and serve with your favourite accompaniments: sour cream, green onions, salsa or taco sauce. A great salad on the side makes a fast and hearty dinner any day of the week.
Start by making some Mexican rice (or plain white rice, if you prefer. Divy it up into individual bowls and add a generous scoop of our BBQ pulled chicken on top. Then, have your family members add their favourite toppings: diced red onions or scallions, shredded cheese, black beans, corn, sliced avocado or guacamole, sour cream and salsa, tortilla strips and more. Every bite will be packed with flavour, and it’s a super filling meal that comes together in minutes. Don’t forget the hot sauce!
