April is here and Easter is just around the corner! This year, it falls on Sunday, April 20th—that’s less than three weeks away. While you’re out buying chocolate eggs, sidewalk chalk and bubble wands for the kids, don’t forget to start planning your family’s Easter brunch or dinner. The VG Meats team is here to make it easy (and delicious).

Easter dinner can include any food your family enjoys, but there are a few classic holiday dishes: a roast turkey, a juicy ham, or another roast dinner with fresh rolls and spring vegetables. Here are a few products we recommend for the Easter season:
- Whole Ontario turkeys (small, medium and large sizes available)
- Stuffed turkey breast (conveniently stuffed and ready for roasting in your oven)
- ReadySetRoast turkeys (butchered for your convenience—less cook time and space required than a whole unbutchered turkey)

Another quick note: we strongly recommend placing an order ahead of time to ensure you receive the products you want in the weight range you've requested. We’ll be open for shopping in person before the holiday weekend, but we cannot guarantee that your family’s favourite products will be in stock unless you’ve pre-ordered them. That said, we’ll have a small number of turkeys, roasts and hams available in Simcoe and Stoney Creek while supplies last.
Gourmet prepared dishes
If you’d like a delicious holiday meal without all of the prep work, cook time and clean up, we’ve got you covered. Here are a few options:
- Cooked turkey dinners (available in four sizes)
- Prepared side dishes (stuffing, roasted vegetables, gravy and more)
Orders will be available for pick up at our retail locations in Simcoe or Stoney Creek, and home delivery can be arranged to any address within our 30km delivery radius.
