If you’re familiar with VG Meats’ bundles, you know that they offer incredible value on your favourite local products. We’ve always offered a variety of bundles in store and on our website, and we’ve also offered large custom orders through our retail locations in Simcoe and Stoney Creek—for example, half of a beef cut to a customer’s specifications. This personalized service allows customers to request exactly what they want: mostly steaks, for example, or a mix of steaks, roasts and ground beef.

We’ve learned that a lot of families would like to buy Ontario beef in large quantities, but they don’t necessarily want a custom order—just high quality, delicious products at a great price. In order to simplify this offering for customers, we now have five new Ontario beef bundles available. Read on for details, and please contact us if you have any questions! Buy in bulk to save

A lot of butcher shops offer half of a beef or other large quantities of meat, but you get a lot more when you buy from VG Meats. This is because we weigh the final product, not the cattle itself. In the past, butcher shops might sell half of a beef by weighing the entire animal, then breaking it down into roasts, steaks and other cuts. That original weight included parts of the animal that are non-meat—bones and cartilage, for example. Half of that animal may be 350 or 400 lbs, but you aren’t getting that much beef because there are non-food elements included in the original weight.

At VG Meats, we tell you the weight of the beef you’ll be receiving in your order: steaks, roasts, ground beef and bones for broth. A clear breakdown of products is listed in every bundle, so there’s no guessing what you’ll get!

Customers can choose from five different size options:

• 1/2 of a beef (approximately 290 lbs)
• 1/4 of a beef (approximately 180 lbs)
• 1/8 of a beef (approximately 90 lbs)
• 1/16 of a beef (approximately 35 lbs)
• 1/32 of a beef (approximately 20 lbs)

All of the Ontario beef products included in these bundles are grass-fed with no added hormones and have been dry-aged to perfection. You'll save up to 27% off the regular retail price of these products—that can work out to hundreds of dollars in savings, depending on how much beef you buy!

Please note that a five day lead time is required for large orders, including these bundles. Free delivery is available within our delivery zones. You’ll need a lot of freezer space for some of these orders, so please plan ahead! We can let you know how much room each order requires, if you aren’t sure if your current freezer can hold it all. (For context: 1/16 of a beef is the size of a 24-pack of beer, but ½ a beef is 8x that amount—you’ll need a much larger freezer for the latter.)
