Thanksgiving weekend is almost here and as always, we are reminded of how important it is to pause from our busy lives, be mindful and practice gratitude. Today, we’d like to do just that—and you’re a part of it! Our team would like to take a moment to express our gratitude to customers for supporting our family-owned and operated business. We are thankful to everyone who shops with us, puts our delicious local products on their family’s table, or tells their friends and neighbours about VG Meats. Thank you so much—we appreciate your support and hope you know that by shopping with us, you’re contributing to a stronger, more resilient food system here in Ontario. That’s something to feel good about today and always!
Happy Thanksgiving
As we reflect on all of the good in our lives, it always starts with family. We’re thankful for our wonderful partners, children, parents and grandparents, siblings and extended family members. We’re grateful to the generations before us who worked hard and taught us so well. We are thankful for good friends, good food on our tables, and the beautiful land we live and work on. We’re also grateful for our wonderful staff at VG Meats and the incredible communities we’re a part of. Each and every day, we’re thankful to live here in Ontario and have the opportunity to produce high quality, delicious food in a way that reflects our values. We hope to continue doing this for years to come, and are dedicated to leaving this place a little better than we found it. It isn’t easy, but it’s worth it!
As we enjoy an incredible holiday meal this weekend, we’ll continue to reflect on these thoughts and more. After all, these may be some of the most important things we’re thinking about, but they’re just the tip of the iceberg. There is much to be thankful for and we do our best to recognize that throughout the year. We hope you can do the same!
A note for last-minute holiday shoppers
Life can be pretty hectic and you don’t always have time to plan ahead—we’ve all been there. While we are no longer taking holiday orders online, you can call your local VG Meats retail location to inquire about fresh turkeys, holiday hams, prime rib roasts and prepared items. We’d be happy to reserve the products you need until you’re able to pick them up in store. You’re also welcome to shop in person—we will have limited quantities of fresh turkeys and other holiday products available while supplies last. Please note that VG Meats will be open on Saturday but closed on Thanksgiving Sunday and Monday. Thank you again for shopping local and supporting our family business this holiday season.
