3 things we’re looking forward to at VG Meats
The first day of summer is just over a month away, and we’re even closer to the first long weekend of the season. With beautiful weather beginning to show itself already and your calendar starting to fill up with social events and special occasions, there’s a lot to look forward to. Here are three things we’re excited about at VG Meats— and this is only the beginning! We hope you’re ready (and hungry).
Victoria Day weekend
This year, May 24th falls on a Tuesday so we’ll be celebrating Victoria Day weekend from May 21-23rd (or however long you choose to extend the holiday). VG Meats will be offering exclusive long weekend bundles that let you save more on your favourite summer products like burgers, hot dogs and some of your favourite steaks. These bundles are perfect for backyard BBQs, camping trips or weekends at the cottage. Keep an eye on our website and social media channels for details—you’re loving to love these bundles! Now, if only we could help with the blackflies up north…
If you’re a longtime customer, you’re probably familiar with our pasture-raised chicken. It’s a customer favourite that we bring back in limited quantities every year. Here’s a blog post from a few years ago that details how and why we raise chickens this way, plus a great video of Cory (our oldest brother and farmer) tending to the chickens out on the field. It’s something we’re proud of, and our customers are already asking when this year’s batch will be ready. Good news: we’ll have this product in stores again by mid-June!
Mother’s Day has come and gone but Father’s Day is coming up on June 19, 2022. Be sure to have this date on the calendar so you can plan those family BBQs, roast dinners and other traditional celebrations. Our website is full of great meal ideas from tenderloin steaks to sausages for the grill. VG Meats also offers fantastic Father’s Day gifts including our gift cards and great products like our delectable Tomahawk steak.
