Thanksgiving turkey updates from VG Meats
It’s been a busy couple of weeks here at VG Meats but we’re ready for Thanksgiving, and we’re here to make sure your family is ready, too. Because Ontarians have been asked not to have large gatherings, we’ve seen an increase in demand for small and medium turkeys. The demand was so big, we initially sold out! Fortunately, we were able to get some additional birds from a trusted local farming partner. And at present, we have all sizes of turkey available. Now, here’s how to make sure you have everything you need this weekend!
If you ordered your turkey online
Our Online Store Manager, Danny, is currently in the process of reaching out to everyone who ordered a turkey using our online reservation form. Danny will see if you want anything added to your order (a ham or roast, some burgers for next week, whatever you need!) and then prepare your invoice. You’ll receive this invoice by email and have the option to pay online. If you’d prefer to pay by phone, please give Danny a call at our Stoney Creek store (905-664-2020).
Your turkey will be ready for pick up or delivery as indicated on your order form. If you have any questions at all or need to make changes to your order, please reach out to Danny as soon as possible! Thank you.
If you forgot to order a turkey
Life is busy, and the last couple of weeks have really flown by. If you forgot to order your Thanksgiving turkey, it’s not too late. We have a selection of local turkeys available in both Simcoe and Stoney Creek. Please call your nearest VG Meats retail location to inquire about the size you need and reserve your turkey. We will make sure you get something delicious for Thanksgiving dinner. Gobble, gobble!
If you want to shop in store
We’ll be open regular hours this weekend and would love to see you! Please remember that customers picking up their turkey orders will likely result in more people coming to the store, particularly on Saturday. This may mean waiting in line for a short time to prevent crowding inside of the store and give everyone the personal space they need. Please be prepared to wait patiently and respect physical distancing measures. Thanks so much for your cooperation!
Then, it’s off for a little downtime. VG Meats will be closed on Sunday and Monday so our staff can enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday with their own families. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your holiday weekend— our family and our team are grateful for your incredible support of VG Meats. Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving weekend, everyone!
