New product: breaded pork cutlets

In case you missed it: we’ve got a new product, and we’re really excited about it! VG Meats now offers delicious breaded pork cutlets in our frozen section. They’re fully cooked, so you just have to heat them in your oven or air fryer. These cutlets are crispy on the outside, moist and tender on the inside, and packed with delectable Ontario pork flavour. Serve it in a bun

If you pop these breaded pork cutlets into your oven or air fryer, you’ll have dinner ready in less than 20 minutes. Just get out your favourite condiments and toppings, grab some fresh, soft buns and enjoy. Here are a few combinations our team has enjoyed lately:
- On a brioche roll with Olliffe’s chipotle BBQ sauce, jalapeno crema and a fresh arugula salad
- In a Japanese-inspired sandwich with a poached egg, freshly sliced scallions, crispy rice and a homemade onion gravy
- On a soft burger bun with mayo, a generous dollop of Dennis’ Original Horseradish (available in store), a slice of fresh tomato and crisp lettuce
- On a hearty sandwich bun with a generous layer of Country Flavour sauerkraut on top of the pork (available in store)
- On the a toasted, buttered bun with Caplansky’s dijon mustard (available in store), a slice of fresh tomato and a handful of arugula or spring mix

While you can enjoy your breaded pork cutlets any way you like, our team has tried a few combinations that really hit the spot. Here’s what we’ve done so far:
- Breaded pork cutlet with mashed potatoes, pork or mushroom gravy, and buttered peas or steamed broccoli
- Sliced breaded pork cutlet with a drizzle of jalapena crema, mashed potatoes and sautéed bell peppers and onions
- Breaded pork cutlet with fried potatoes (or French fries), sauerkraut and a fresh green side salad
- Breaded pork cutlet, a baked potato with sour cream and lemon-garlic asparagus
Make a hearty salad
Want something fresh, fast and delicious? Add our breaded pork cutlets to a hearty green salad with chopped cucumber, bell peppers, shredded carrot, cherry tomatoes and more. Pickled red onions add great flavour and acidity, but you could also add chopped green apple or another fresh element. You can slice the cutlet like you would slice a steak or piece of grilled chicken, then serve it over your salad. Or, serve your pork cutlet with a generous helping of fresh coleslaw or potato salad on the side! Any way you like it, this product is seriously delicious.
