Another year has passed and once again, we find ourselves reflecting on the many challenges and opportunities we experienced over the past twelve months. Overall, our team and families have been very fortunate. We recognize this and are grateful, and are also glad to have had so many opportunities to give back to our community along the way.
Thank you to everyone who has supported our business, given back to the community in their own way, performed an act of kindness or otherwise brought positivity into the world. We wish you a merry Christmas and a very happy holiday season!
A few important notes
VG Meats will be closing at 3pm on Christmas Eve (this applies to both retail store locations). We will be closed on Christmas and Boxing Day. Please note that our Simcoe location will also be closed on December 27th, but Stoney Creek will be open for regular hours on this date. Both stores will operate regular hours on December 28th, 29th and 30th, closing early (4pm) on New Year’s Eve.
Our Stoney Creek store will be closed on January 3rd, reopening on Tuesday the 4th. Our Simcoe store will be open for regular hours on the 3rd. As always, our online store is available 24/7.
Thank you for your orders of gift baskets, holiday turkeys, hams, roasts and prepared meals. We hope you enjoy this delicious local food over the holidays! If you have any issues that require immediate attention, please call your local VG Meats retail location (Simcoe or Stoney Creek). Those phone numbers can be found here on our contact page. Our social media channels are not monitored on evenings or weekends, and those inboxes will not be checked regularly when the store is closed (on Christmas Day, for example). We strive to assist customers immediately, so please reach out to our team by phone as needed.
Finally, please remember that our gourmet gift baskets are still available! If you’d like to order one for New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day (or simply as a way to stock your fridge with delicious food), please visit our online storefront to place an order.

As we look back on the past year, we’d like to express our gratitude to a few important people. To our customers: thank you for your continued support of our fourth generation family business. We care deeply about our community, the environment and local food, and your loyalty to our products and our business means the world to us. To our staff: you are the best of the best, and we are truly appreciative of your hard work and dedication. Thank you and happy holidays.
