With Father’s Day coming up in less than two weeks, we’ve got steak on our minds. But we’re also thinking about the World Butchers Challenge, which will be taking place in Paris, France in March 2025. While the competition is almost a year from now, planning is already well underway. We’re proud to share that Dave Vander Velde will be competing once again as part of Team Canada. You may know Dave from our Stoney Creek retail location—he’s an important part of the team, and we’re very proud of him!

Father’s Day is Sunday, June 16th
We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: a great dad is always worth celebrating, and we know some of the very best! The four brothers who currently own and operate VG Meats were lucky to have some wonderful role models in their lives including their dad, Wayne VG, and their grandfathers. Each of the brothers is a father himself now, too—in fact, they have 11 kids between them!
