Happy Thanksgiving! A note of gratitude plus last-minute reminders from VG Meats
Thanksgiving weekend is upon us, and the VG Meats team is ready to enjoy plenty of delicious food and good company in the days ahead. Let’s hope this glorious weather continues! The mix of sunshine, (slightly) cooler temperatures and gorgeous fall colours has been absolutely spectacular, and will be a real treat for anyone who’s cooking outside this weekend.
Before it’s time to put that fresh Ontario turkey in the oven, we’d like to share a few notes of gratitude from our team, plus helpful reminders for customers. Thanks for shopping local—we hope you have an incredible holiday weekend with your loved ones!
What we’re thankful for
There are a few things we’re eternally grateful for: our wonderful families, our good health, the beautiful land we’re privileged to care for, and the amazing communities we live, work and play in. And of course, we’re grateful to you, the customers who buy local food and support Ontario farmers. None of this is possible without you!

Last-minute reminders
Thanksgiving deliveries have already commenced—if you placed an order for home delivery, you should have received an email with your final invoice details attached. These invoices must be paid in full before your delivery is made. In-store pick ups will be taking place as scheduled until the end of the day on Saturday. We recommend bringing a cooler or insulated bag to help transport your items home!
If you didn’t place your holiday order ahead of time or need additional products, please call or visit your nearest VG Meats for assistance. We will have a limited supply of turkeys, ham, roasts and other holiday products available while supplies last. Please note that our retail locations in Simcoe and Stoney Creek will be closed on Sunday and Monday, so Saturday is your last opportunity to shop before Thanksgiving.
