While we believe it is important to celebrate local food and local food producers each and every day, Local Food Week is a once-a-year celebration where we can all show our appreciation for delicious local food! Buy Some Ground, Donate a Pound!
During the Local Food Week June 5th - 11th, every pound of ground beef sold (including single lb purchases as well as frozen 10lb cases) will be donated to a local food bank. This means that when you buy 10lbs of ground beef from either of our stores, we will in turn donate that same amount back to the community. We are working with 3 local food banks: Hamilton Food Share, the Caring Cupboard in Jarvis as well as Helping Hand in Tillsonburg. There’s no better time to stock up on delicious local ground beef! Be sure to come by June 5th - 11th, 2017.
Taste the Steak: A Celebration of MEAT!
Meat-lovers rejoice! On June 10th our Stoney Creek location will be hosting a “Taste the Steak” event. From 11 am - 12 pm, we will be grilling and serving up samples of a variety of delicious VG Meats steaks. From lesser known cuts like the Bavette steak, to our very popular 60 Day Whiskey Aged Tomahawk steak, you can taste and talk with our butchers about each cut and how to prepare them at home.
