March is here and the Easter Bunny is on its way! This holiday weekend is special to a lot of families, and we’re looking forward to a wonderful Easter weekend with our loved ones. Whether you gather with family, attend church services, participate in a community Easter egg hunt or all of the above, we hope you have traditions of your own to look forward to!
Easter weekend falls quite early this year—Good Friday is on March 29th and Easter Sunday is on March 31st—so it may feel like it’s sneaking up on you. But don’t worry, VG Meats is ready with reminders, holiday tips and of course, your family’s Easter favourites. Here’s everything you need to know—thanks and happy Easter!
Reserve your Easter favourites
Many of our customers are familiar with our holiday websites now—we’ve used them to manage Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas orders for the last few years—but here’s a quick refresher. To pre-order your fresh local turkey, holiday ham, Ontario beef roast and other festive favourites, please visit this link. We strongly recommend placing your Easter order ahead of time to ensure you receive the products you want in the weight range you've requested. Here are some of the items we have available this year:
- Fresh local whole turkeys, ReadySetRoast turkeys + fully cooked roasted turkeys
- Smoked Ontario hams
- Delectable Ontario beef roasts
- Turduckens
- Ontario lamb
- Prepared side dishes and gravy

Don’t forget about brunch!
While Easter dinner is an important tradition for many families, others gather for a holiday brunch after church on Easter Sunday.
